Seeing red and blue dots?
Those Eye Floaters Live Inside You!and do depressed people ever miss the ones they pushed away what makes you beautiful chords
As you settle into bed at night, close your eyes and begin to doze off, you may notice the colorful light show happening inside your eyelids. When you rub the sleep from your weary eyes, the lights suddenly intensify and bursts of bright colors appear all across your field of vision. A few seconds later, the colors settle down again. But not ordinary light — this light comes from inside your eyes. In the same way that fireflies and deep-sea creatures can glow, cells within our eyes emit biophotons, or biologically produced light particles. Biophotons exist in your eyes because your atoms constantly emit and absorb tiny particles of light, or photons.

I know this isn't the most appropriate place to post this but since we are all photographers I think at least a few of us have been able to observe this strange eye phenomenon I'm 19 now Turn off the lights or close your eyes and cover them with your hands so you're getting the least amount of light possible. Wait for something to appear, keeping your eyeballs as motionless as possible. Faint, but undeniably, are reddish dots and bubbles flowing about like styrofoam beads in a windy room in your vision. I've been told that this is a totally normal phenomenon. Remember that vision is actually an electro-chemical response to light striking the retina, sent through the optic nerve and interpreted by the brain.

Why do we see colors with our eyes closed?
You settle in for bed. You close your eyes and right before you fall asleep, you notice something; a twinkling, swirling pattern of stars and colors producing a make-shift light show on the inside of your closed eyelids. Many people who have seen this visual phenomenon think it is an light-induced afterimage of what they had seen before they closed their eyes but an afterimage may only be part of what they are seeing. The real reason we are treated to this fuzzy fireworks display behind closed lids has to do with phosphenes! Phosphenes are the moving visual sensations of stars and patterns we see when we close our eyes. They are thought to be caused by the inherent electrical charges the retina produces even when it is in its "resting state" and not taking in a ton of information and light like it does when our eyes are open. One can relate this analogy to an old fashioned television set.
