We are excited you are interested in pursuing an education in our flexible, fully-online school, where students are given opportunities to realize their fullest potential and increase their love of learning as well as pursue a career opportunity. We believe in getting to know our students and providing them with a curriculum that meets their academic needs and improves their independence, communication, and self-advocacy skills. Egenuity Teachers engage with students throughout each week to ensure they understand the material they are learning and to help resolve any confusion and clarify expectations as needed. Teachers grade student work and provide supportive feedback so students know just what needs improving and the areas in which they excel. Concept Coaches provide on-demand tutoring in core subjects, while Success Coaches help to motivate our students. This multi-layered approach to student support has documented results in increasing student achievement. Our Vision is to produce a workforce prepared to meet the challenge of accelerating change in every component of agriculture.
A new Indiana public charter school is gearing up for the start of classes on July 30, The school is online and also on the farm, specifically a acre operation in Morgantown, Indiana with forest, and pasture and crop land, acres of each. Marsh says those resources and facilities will be used for project-based learning. All those pieces will take place on the farm, so when we bring our kids down monthly they will be involved with project-based learning. And the cost? Prospective students and their families are invited to the open house this Saturday from noon until 4 PM at the farm campus in Morgantown which is in Morgan County. We must address that workforce challenge.
We welcome students, families, and educators to a unique learning opportunity. Students will not only work towards their Indiana Core 40 Diploma but also be introduced to opportunities for post-graduation. The Indiana Agriculture and Technology School was created to expose our students to potential careers in agriculture and technology. We recognize that many of our students will choose career education, and there is a huge demand for trained and skilled workers. That is why our school is designed to offer career pathways through partnerships with agribusiness and corporations, offering career opportunities after graduation.
In May, eLearning Inside reported on an innovative new virtual school. Last week, in a sudden about-face, the school announced that it would not be launching as a virtual school after all. Our ability to feed more people with limited resources is a global challenge. Innovations in growing and producing food will require workers with a wide range of skills, from logistics to finance; from manufacturing to data mining. We have a strong FFA and students interested in agriculture, but no curriculum specific enough to meet their needs.
Online students in Indiana are about to get their hands dirty. We must address that workforce challenge. Enrollment is now open to Indiana residents, grades AP opportunities are also provided. Enrollment is capped at students per grade level. At least four teachers will be assigned to each enrolled student for each course taken. We expect our kids to graduate.
