Rick and Morty Season 3 episode 7 part(1)

The new episode tackles themes of police brutality and discrimination via its 'Citadel of Ricks' concept. Here, Mortys from innumerate dimensions play second-class citizens who are constantly under the boot of their corresponding Ricks. In addition to rating the episode an unprecedented 9. Nothing will ever be the same. This is not hyperbole.

Zack Sharf. As the man behind the voices of both Rick and Morty, Roiland has singlehandedly shaped the two defining personalities of the series. The episode was set entirely in The Citadel, where the population is made up of various different versions of Ricks and Mortys. The amoral cop was such an aggressive shift away from the meeker Morty we all know and love that it was startling to watch him verbally abuse people. The power of enforcing the arbitrary rules of The Citadel turned this Morty into a raging force of discrimination.

Can't Wait For Season 4? Rick helps Jerry out with the dog, broh. Don't even trip about this episode because they also incept Goldenfold. Guest starring Rob Paulsen and Jess Harnell. On a special Christmas episode, Rick and Morty try to save the life of a homeless man. Meanwhile, Jerry's parents visit and the family bonds. Rick and Morty try to get to the bottom of a mystery in this M.

So, yeah, I loved it. The Citadel is revealed to be a much more expansive location than previously shown, with a countryside, an inner city, and a class system. Yes, they are all Ricks and Mortys and our understanding of the core qualities of these characters goes some way toward making the episode work. This is done, at least in part, by tapping into some tropes in charming and clever ways. The four Mortys who decide to go on an adventure to make their last day at Morty School memorable is a classic coming-of-age movie tale, a la Stand by Me. My personal favorite storyline is the Training Day -esque one following a rookie Rick cop and his jaded, corrupt Morty partner.

Rick and Morty encounter a visiting Rick and Morty from the Citadel of Ricks before heading off to an amazing adventure to Atlantis. Our Rick and Morty refute the possibility of donation with hostility, pointing out that our Rick was the one to destroy it in the first place, and the pair leave. The scene then cuts to show a fully-fledged, well-developed Citadel, which has extended beyond being a mere government into the territory of being a mostly functional society consisting only of Ricks and Mortys. The Citadel makes quick work of recuperating from Rick's attempted destruction of it, with workers restructuring its foundation, commuters proceeding with their work and an election going on. Contention surrounds the fact that a Morty has decided to run a political campaign, with the news anchor Ricks sardonically and aggressively defaming him on the news, leading Campaign Manager Morty to suggest that Politician Morty withdraw from the race.
