It started with Negasonic Teenage Warhead fixing Cable's time travel device, allowing Wade to jump back through the events of the movie and beyond righting wrongs: he saves Vanessa something that's confirmed to be canon ; helps Peter escape the X-Force massacre; kills his X-Men Origins: Wolverine alter ego; and finishes up by murdering Ryan Reynolds himself before he signs on for Green Lantern. But that wasn't all. Even before Deadpool 2 released, there were rumors of end-credits scenes deleted from the theatrical cut for being too risque, and now the Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut is here we can see them in all their glory.

As the dust clears in the final conflict between the X-Force and "Firefist," we see Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her girlfriend, Yukio, tinkering around with Cable's time travel tech, which, according to him, should be all but useless now, keeping him stranded in the present day. Apparently, however, the gadgets of the not-too-distant future are no match for the engineering prowess of the X-Men, because NTW and Yukio are able to fix the device and pass it over to Wade. That's right: Deadpool can time travel now, and it goes pretty much exactly the way you'd expect.

There was some question, however, as to whether or not the ending credits would include new material and how heavily the original scenes would be edited. All the material from the original Deadpool 2 post-credits sequence is here, but edited to be suitable for a PG audience. Ryan Reynolds is back again as the self-aware, foulmouthed Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson. Breaking the fourth-wall, the merc-with-a-mouth is well known for his self-referential, pop-culture-critical style. Deadpool 2 pays special attention to a particular trope of superhero movies - post credits scenes - featuring five in total. Deadpool arrives with Yukio Shioli Kutsuna , taking the now fixed device and leaving - something Negasonic and Yukio regret letting him get away with as they warn him not to et Cable see him with the device.
