In the the July 3 episode of Married at First Sight , "Stranger Love in Paradise," we saw the newly-married couples continue their honeymoons in Antigua. For some, it was a hot and steamy getaway, while others faced their fears, broke down their walls, and opened up to their spouses. The show featured couples getting married by being matched by experts. Upon returning they live together for a period of time, during which they meet at commitment ceremonies and choose whether or not they will continue their relationship. The first season premiered on 18 May on the Nine Network. During the first season, a panel of experts matched four females with four males. The couples embarked on married life for the rest of the season.
Married at First Sight returns for a new season in the city of Dallas, Texas. Three experts: Dr. Jessica Griffin, are tasked with finding three compatible couples that will not meet until their wedding. The participants reveal to friends and family that they'll be marrying a complete stranger--at first sight. Six courageous singles who have been unlucky in love have entrusted three relationship experts with the biggest decision of their lives; today they will meet their new spouse at the altar as they vow to legally marry as strangers. After marrying as complete strangers, the newlyweds are alone for the very first time on their wedding night.
