The Lurker at the Threshold is a horror novel by American writer August Derleth , based on short fragments written by H. Lovecraft ,  who died in , and published as a collaboration between the two authors. According to S. Joshi , of the novel's 50, words, 1, were written by Lovecraft. The novel was originally published in by Arkham House in a hardcover edition of 3, copies, listed as the second and final volume in the "Library of Arkham House Novels of Fantasy and Terror". As a result, the prose is somewhat less But if you've read much Lovecraft already, the story and content is going feel like more of the same. If you're new to his work and his world, it may serve as a decent introduction.
