In Deadpool 's obligatory post-credits scene, Ryan Reynolds gave a nod to Ferris Bueller by emerging in a bathrobe and revealing that Cable would feature in the sequel. At which point, the non-comic book readers among you will have scratched your head and said 'Who? Josh Brolin will debut in Deadpool 2 as the most comics-in-the-'90s character ever — a time-travelling mutant cyborg who is and yet kind of isn't the son of two of the best-known X-Men members. The film will apparently not touch on his origin , but it's just too gloriously weird for you not to understand or at least try to understand. The full trailer for Deadpool 2 has finally arrived, and it seems to be suggesting that time-traveling mutant Cable is actually the big villain - but is that really the case? First teased in Deadpool's second post-credits scene, Nathan Summers he's the son of Scott Summers and a Jean Grey clone, although his backstory won't be prominent in the film is one of Deadpool's most beloved frenemies, so naturally he proved a key hype source for the sequel. But that pales in comparison with the confusion surrounding Cable in the comics. To prepare you for the movie and minimise some of the comics-based confusion, here are a few facts about the man himself. Cable has one of the most convoluted origins in comic book history. Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, who happened to be the evil clone of Jean Grey, and also the Goblin Queen who once tried to sacrifice her own son! Clear so far? What makes him the perfect soldier is his combat training and the cybernetic enhancements, which has enabled him to go head on against Wolverine, Captain America, and even the Silver Surfer!
